I still can’t believe they handed me a star! 🤩

At the Art & Creativity for Healing 25th Anniversary Gala, I received the Big Star Award – and I’m deeply humbled.

I’ve been part of this family for over ten years, and I’ve loved seeing the organization evolve and grow. As the person managing the website, leading social channels, crafting email newsletters, and shaping digital campaigns, I’ve seen firsthand how an Art4Healing® workshop can shift someone’s whole outlook.

In case you forgot, Art & Creativity for Healing delivers five core programs that harness the power of therapeutic art to support homeless families, low-income seniors, at-risk teens, trauma survivors, and military communities. Their mission is to restore hope, build resilience, and foster connection through creative experiences, and with 100,000 participants reached, their team proves it every day.

Right now I’ve got music playing in the background – then again, when don’t I? 😂 Yes, I’m a music and art aficionado. As a long-time piano and percussion student turned part-time music producer, I learned early on how creativity can light up the soul. (shout out to two music educator parents for instilling that!)

That same spark fuels every Art4Healing® workshop, whether it’s a solo exercise that calms the mind or a group mural that brings people together.
